Lots of Fun at Windmill on Friday with Dungannon Silver Band

A Musical Afternoon at Windmill Integrated Primary School

We were delighted to welcome Mr Dean McCoy and several of his fellow band members from Dungannon Silver Band to Windmill Integrated Primary School today. They gave an inspiring and interactive presentation to our P6 and P7 pupils, introducing them to the wonderful world of brass instruments.
The children were captivated by the live performances and were eager to learn more. Dean and his colleagues demonstrated how sound is produced on brass instruments and introduced the children to at least five different types. The visit sparked great enthusiasm, with many pupils keen to try the instruments themselves!
Dungannon Silver Band is hosting an Open Afternoon on Saturday 18th October from 3–4.30pm at 10 Ballynorthland Demesne, Dungannon. All ages and abilities are welcome, and free instrument hire is available for those interested in lessons.
