Today the nursery class were very excited to have Vicky come in do a Nurture in 5 session with them. Step 1 was warming up, the children had to move like different types of beans! Step 2 was stretching & they listened to a stretching story, step 3 was about touch & the children sang Incy Wincy Spider & moved their hands like a spider up & down their arms, step 4 was all about breathing, deep breaths in through the nose & out through the mouth & step 5 was relaxation. The children lay down & closed their eyes while listening to music. Everyone was really good at listening to Vicky, she explained if they are sad or upset the deep breathing will help them feel better. We can’t wait for Vicky to come back next month for another session.
