P5 Have been learning about and investigating nets of cubes

In our shape and space topic we have been learning about the shapes made by flattened out cubes , in other words, the nets of cubes.

We have been investigating which net  patterns make cubes and which do not. We used polydron to build the 3D shapes and to test our predictions.

Then we drew are own nets for cubes so that we could make little gift cube boxes for our Easter egg gifts. We  decorated them and stuck bunnies and chicks on top to make them look the part.
