Windmill Integrated Primary School Speaks at Special Hagan Homes Celebration Event

23rd Jun 2025
Windmill Integrated Primary School Speaks at Special Hagan Homes Celebration Event

We were honoured to be invited to speak at a very special celebration event hosted to thank James and Anne from Hagan Homes for their incredible generosity in donating over £1 million to support a wide range of projects across Northern Ireland.

Windmill Integrated Primary School has been fortunate to receive funding for several of our own initiatives over the years and we were delighted to share our journey at the event. Mrs Ferguson spoke on behalf of the school, highlighting the many exciting projects we have undertaken thanks to this support. Lily-May recited a beautiful poem written especially for the occasion, celebrating the impact of the funding on our school community.

We also set up a display stall filled with images and information showcasing the various funded projects. Mrs Hazelton spoke about our recently created ‘Respect Disco Ball’, while Mrs Cummings shared the positive impact of the activities in our Nurture Room.

Several pupils demonstrated how to play some of the games we’ve introduced through supported initiatives—including hockey, GAA, and rugby—offering guests a fun and interactive insight into school life at Windmill.

We were pleased to be joined by Mr Simon Wakefield from 369 Uniforms, who explained how Windmill now sources its school uniform. To mark the occasion, two of our pupils presented a bouquet of flowers on behalf of the Integrated Education Fund (IEF) to thank James and Anne for their ongoing support of integrated education.

It was a proud day for Windmill and we’re grateful to Hagan Homes and the IEF for helping us continue to grow, innovate, and support every child in our care.
